Sustainability:

Many years ago I put the word sustainability on the back of my business card, and lots of people asked, ”Why?” Answer: to encourage people to think.

For me, it’s about our culture, environment, communities and businesses being able to thrive. It’s thinking long term. What is the best way to do something in the larger scheme of things? Have all of the issues been taken into consideration?

An eclectic mix of people and books have influenced me, and I'm still searching. A few favorites are listed here. Feel free to send your recommendations.

In the Studio:

Clients often ask about paper, and receive information regarding FSC Certified and recycled content options.

Whenever possible, we use Skype and pdfs to save on petroleum, paper and other products. Yes, the toilets are low flow. Yes, recycling and reusing at every opportunity.

Please contact the Bay Area Green Business Program for assistance in making your workplace environmentally sustainable. You’ll be glad you did.
