People are innately curious. I think you are on to something with this idea. While a site should be well mapped out so that a person does not get lost in a “back alley,” there should be the option to find something new and wonderful around the corner.

Yes- despite the name–the For Dummies series are a good place to start. I’d suggest doing a search at your library, on amazon, and if you can talk to an instructor, ask which books s/he recommends for students.
